Melissa appreciated the importance of money management at an early age, vividly recalling memories of receiving “McDonald’s Bucks” from her grandparents on special occasions as a child. She cherished these beloved coupons and recognized the value of saving them for “just the right moment.” She graduated from Texas State University (formerly "Southwest Texas State University") in 1999 with her BBA and briefly worked in advertising before attaining her teaching credentials in 2002. Melissa spent 20 years in education, teaching English and Literature for Frisco Independent School District, prior to rejoining the corporate world. She's excited to be part of the EQ Wealth team and hopes to utilize her interpersonal skills while expanding her financial foundation as a Client Services Associate.
Melissa was born in San Francisco, CA, but grew up in Highland Village, TX after her family relocated when she was seven. She is devoted to her family, which includes her husband, Chad, and their two children, daughter Riley and son Beau. She also enjoys watching movies, attending live sporting events of all kinds, and volunteering in her children’s various activities.
